Respite and Day Care
We are able to offer a respite care service and with three residential homes in our group, we are normally able to find a suitable room. Respite care differs from permanent residency as it is tailored to give a short break to people who care for their loved one at the family home. You can relax for a while, knowing that your relative is enjoying a happy, safe environment in the company of their own age group.
Examples of respite care would be if you would like a short holiday or perhaps you have an event such as a wedding to organise or attend or maybe just to “recharge” and return refreshed to attending to your loved one or even giving them a change of scene and interaction with new friends.
Respite stays vary from a few days to a few months and can be arranged on a “one-off” or recurring basis.
Respite care charges are available on application and depend on the care requirements of the individual.
This is available for more independent people living alone who would like to enjoy some company and activity in a social environment with people of their own age group. You get lunch, refreshments, games and other activities in participation with our permanent residents. Sessions normally run from 10am to 4pm but arrival and departure times can be flexible, depending on your needs. Sessions can be arranged on a regular weekly or monthly basis if required.
The service may also be used by full time carers who need a regular break from their caring duties.
Day care is available at a daily rate.
